Austria's Salzburg Marionette Theatre: They will be performing two different shows this weekend, "The Sound of Music", and "Hansel and Gretel". For 100 years the company has performed dramatic presentations utilizing the remarkable life-like movements of its elaborate costumed, two foot tall, string-manipulated puppets on lavish backdrops set to beautiful recorded music. These performances present the charm and wonder of a long-standing European tradition in a fresh and exciting way. The Sound of Music run time is 1 hour and 45 minutes, Hansel and Gretel's run time is 65 minutes. The Opera is performed in English. Ages 4+ are admitted to the performances with a ticket. In the Heights: The Hale Center Theater in Orem (225 West 400 North) is putting on this Tony winning Musical. The show celebrates a community and culture through dance, song, and lets the audiences glimpse into the hopes, dreams, and struggles of the residents in New York's vibrant Washington Heights neighborhood. The show runs until November 23, 2013. Price ranges from $16-$20.
