Pioneer Activities


With Pioneer Day just around the corner, well tomorrow, we have created a list of the top Pioneer Activities you can do with your family.

  1. Camp Floyd - a great place to bring the family and learn a little history at the same time. Watch this YouTube video to learn more
  2. Downtown Provo - did you know you can do a walking tour of downtown Provo? Download the map here
  3. Bridal Veil Falls - do you know the legend of Bridal Veil Falls? You can read about it here.
  4. Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum - located in Provo, this museum is the perfect FREE activity for the family http://bit.ly/13T5hrr 
  5. Orem City Heritage Museum - Enjoy an impressive 30,000-piece collection of unique history at this museum. Admission is free
  6. Rowley's South Ridge Farms - after exploring the farm, stop by their red barn to enjoy fresh fruit and some delicious ice cream
  7. BYU Family History Library - with links to hundreds of records and volunteer expert consultants, this library provides the tools necessary to search for your family.
  8. Fort Utah Park - located off of Geneva Road in Provo, enjoy a day at the park with the family at a historic piece of land
  9. Sundance Resort - learn about the Stuart family and their immigration into the area by visiting the beautiful Sundance Resort
  10. Crandall Historical Printing Museum - this unique one-of-a-kind museum is the only one like it. It offers a museum of printing methods as well as hands-on exhibits. It is a living documentary of the role the written and printed word has had on history
