Chalk the Block Favorites!

Here are some of the photos we took this weekend at the Chalk the Block event that was held in Riverwoods. Could these artists and their work be any more incredible?

Bursting with Color

We can honestly say this is one of the most stunning fall color seasons we have ever seen here in Utah Valley! Not to mention, the colors are out earlier than ever. This past week our Film Commissioner, Lee Adamson, took a ride on the Sundance ski lift and snagged these breathtaking photos. Look at these bursting colors clouds:

If you haven't had the chance to drive the Alpine Loop, walk up to Bridal Veil, or ride the Sundance lift yet this season, we suggest you hop on up there as soon as possible! Right now is the perfect time to catch the fall reds.

Sundance Horse Rides

We were thinking of the best ways to take in the beautiful fall colors and couldn't help but think of horse rides. Did you know that even if you don't have your own horse, you can still snag a ride?? Sundance offers horse-back rides up the beautiful Sundance trails for various rates. You can even ride up to Stewart Falls without breaking too much of a sweat. Here's a list of places you can go:

Elk Meadows- a one hour ride for those who prefer a shorter ride
Stewart Falls- a two hour ride voted as the #1 favorite by guests--accompanied by a history of Sundance instruction given by your guide
Sunset Trail Ride- a two hour ride in the cool mountain air for outdoor enthusiast who want to catch a peek of wildlife L(including elk, deer, moose)
Great Western Trial- a three hour ride that takes you to Horse Flats, a location that captures spectacular views.

What do you say to throwing on your cowboy hat for a fall ride? Do you have any "favorites" or "must-dos" for capturing the fall colors here in Utah Valley? We want to know about them! Let us know by commenting or emailing courtney@utahvalley.com.

It's Coming!

Fall colors came early this year! We popped out of the office and went up Southfork Canyon (above Vivian Park in Provo Canyon) to grab some photos. It was breathtaking. Stay tuned for upcoming photo posts from the trip we will be taking on the Alpine Loop this week.

Rivalry Week

Our office was rocking rivalry week today! We seem to be a little torn in here but non the less, we always support our Valley. We're ready for the game, are you??

The Bell Room is a Must!

We have the opportunity to check out Utah Valley venues, restaurants, and locations first hand and yesterday we had the treat of visiting the newly renovated Bell Room--located on Center Street in Provo. This vintage inspired venue is a living piece of American history located on the corner of University and Center in downtown Provo. If you want to have an unique, elegant event in a room filled of cobblestone floors, old-world fountains, and subtle southern charm, then this is your place. We have a feeling that by hosting your event here, it will be the talking point for the rest of the year! Really, who wouldn't want that?!

Here are some of the photos we took on our inside look! Thanks to Jason for his hospitality and tour. If you want more information about this location or the Under Ground Social Hall (to be featured soon) than give Historic Provo Town Square a call at (801) 812-9573 or visit www.oldadobe.com or utahvalley.com.

Meet Me At the Fair

Calling on county fair lovers! It's time to head down to the new Spanish Fork Rodeo Grounds for the event we've all been waiting for. This year's theme, "Meet Me At the Fair" seems to be a fitting for the must-go-to celebration and makes us think of a country music video at the carnival. Who wouldn't want to be part of something like that? This year's celebration will be nothing short of excellence and excitement and the celebration kicks off tonight!

Some of the highlights from today include the following (we'll be attending!):

  • Pig Wrestling--located in the grand arena at 7:00 pm (Don't forget to purchase your tickets for this event, see info below!)
  • Utah Old Time Fiddlers--located at the main stage at 7:00 pm (fiddling on a summer night at the county fair is a must!)
  • Charley Jenkins--located at the main stage at 8:00 pm (Local star who is making quite the name for himself and has made television appearances; see him now and have bragging rights later!)
For entire list of events please visit utcountyfair.com and check out our page at  http://www.utahvalley.com/events/details.aspx?ID=1240 . Kick on those cowboy boots one more time this summer and hop on over to enjoy our beautiful weather. It is a bucket list must!
